Summer Filmmaking at MoPOP Seattle

Day Camp: Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 3pm

Aspiring Filmmakers are invited to join us at MoPOP Seattle! No experience necessary Campers bring a lunch and props for projects, everything else needed will be provided.

Students who participate are invited to apply to the 2025 Seattle Teen Film Lab, our free year round filmmaking program!

Our Advanced camps are challenging and rewarding opportunities for aspiring filmmakers to work on projects that can be submitted for scholarships, grant opportunities, film festivals, education applications and digital portfolios as proof of work.

🎬🏆 Our week-long day camps are designed to spark creativity and collaboration in aspiring filmmakers. Filmmaking Camps for ages 12-17 offers a deeper exploration of the craft, guiding participants through the entire filmmaking process from script development to final editing. Students create Short Films they will be proud to share with their communities! At NW Film Camp, we prioritize a fun and inclusive environment, fostering teamwork and encouraging the unique visions of each young filmmaker. Filmmaker Camp Alumni are invited to join our Teen Filmmaker Lab for free!

We are excited to partner with MoPOP in 2024! MoPOP’s commitment to creating space for creative communities align perfectly with our own mission to support youth filmmaking. Students will enjoy the opportunity to film their projects within Seattle Center grounds.

 

CONSIDERING SUMMER FILMMAKING THIS YEAR?

Our in-person filmmaking camps are fun and creative project based programs designed to teach teamwork and collaboration. Activities range from production planning, location scouting, hands on tech and gear tutorials, introduction to industry standards, screenwriting, project management and so much more. These young media creators work in small teams to produce short films to share with their communities, and beyond!
