This summer, our 7-week Film Camp expands into two creative tracks running side by side: Creator Camp for ages 7–11 and the all-new Filmmaker Camp for ages 12–17. Younger campers will explore storytelling through hands-on creation like puppetry, animation, music videos, and digital shorts, while teens dive deeper into cinematic filmmaking, developing original stories and producing short films from concept to screen. Together, these programs create an exciting new season where imagination, collaboration, and filmmaking come alive for every age.

Ages 8-11 | Summer Creator Camps!
Creator Camp: EPICverse | Campers ages 8-11, turn fandom inspiration into original characters, stories, and on-screen adventures. Students write scripts, design characters, build puppets, act out scenes and produce short films using DSLR cameras, green screens, stop-motion animation and more to bring their imagination to life. Each week is a different project allowing student to learn new skills week after week. Summer week long day camps enrolling now!
Creator Camp: Super 8 Digital Shorts | This filmmaking challenge puts creativity, collaboration, and storytelling to the test. Inspired by the spirit of film competitions like Straight 8, students work in small production teams to conceive, shoot, and complete an original short film within a limited timeframe. From developing a concept and planning shots to filming, editing, and crafting a custom soundtrack with real synthesizers, every creative decision counts. The challenge culminates in a Friday Film Festival Digital Shorts Premiere, where student showcase and celebrate each team's finished film on the big screen.

Digital Shorts: Introduction to Filmmaking | Ages 12-17
Step behind the camera and bring your stories to life! Our Digital Shorts Camp, now in its 11th year, introduces young filmmakers to the essentials of storytelling, directing, cinematography, and editing. Students learn to create their very first short film, from script to screen, using industry-standard tools like Canon C100 cameras, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Audition.
Director’s Cut: Narrative Filmmaking | Ages 12-17.
Step into the director’s chair and bring your stories to life! Director’s Cut Camp focuses on directing, scriptwriting, acting, and narrative filmmaking. Students collaborate to create short films while learning professional skills in camera operation, lighting, sound, editing, and production design.

CAMP PASS PRE ENROLLMENT: September 2025 - January 2026: $350 - $499
OPEN ENROLLMENT: February 1st - May 31st: $599 ($699 Advanced camps)
LIMITED AVAILABILITY: June 1st - August 15th: $699 ($799 Advanced camps)
Tuition and Fees Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your enrollment for any reason, you will be issued a transferable credit equal to the full purchase price. This credit can be applied to any NW Film Camp session through 2027. Students dismissed due to behavioral issues will not receive a refund; however, they may be eligible for a credit, subject to evaluation on a case-by-case basis. Please note that tuition payments are non-refundable.
Leadership and Team Building: Youth are expected to collaborate and work together in teams to produce their films. NW Film Camp instructors will challenge aspiring filmmakers to take on leadership positions throughout the collaborative filmmaking process.
