What’s new in 2026
We’re thrilled to unveil exciting curriculum updates, including our brand-new Creator Camp track, EpicVerse for ages 8–11, and three newly redesigned Filmmaker Camps for ages 12–18. This year’s camps offer more creative choice, deeper collaboration, and expanded pathways for students to grow. From playful, fandom-inspired storytelling to advanced, cinematic filmmaking using industry-standard tools.
Creator Camp: EPICverse for age ages 8-11
At EpicVerse, campers turn fandom inspiration into original characters, stories, and on-screen adventures. Students write scripts, design characters, build puppets, act out scenes and produce short films that bring their imagination to life. Each week is a different project allowing student to lean new skills week after week. Spring and Summer week long day camps enrolling now!
Filmmaker Camps | Ages 12–18
Digital Shorts Camp (Ages 12–17) – Now in its 11th year, this beginner-friendly camp introduces students to storytelling, directing, cinematography, and editing as they create their first short films using Canon C100 cameras and Adobe Premiere Pro & Audition. Perfect for newcomers and Creator Camp alumni ready to level up.
Director’s Cut: Narrative Filmmaking (Ages 12–17) – Focused on directing, scriptwriting, acting, and narrative storytelling, students collaborate on short films while developing professional production skills. No experience required.
Master Shot: Cinematic Filmmaking (Ages 14–18) – Our advanced, fast-paced camp for serious filmmakers. Students create a short film “proof of concept”, mastering cinematography, lighting, sound, and editing with professional cameras, lenses, and gear. Projects are portfolio-ready and can be submitted to festivals and scholarships.
At NW Film Camp, students don’t just make movies, they make friends, discover their creative voice, and take meaningful steps toward a future in film and media.
