Narrative Film Production - One Week Film Challenge
This is an introduction to Narrative Filmmaking. During this week students will produce a short film scene from screenplay to final edit using professional Canon C100 cinema cameras, grip, lighting and editing software.
Filmmaking Fundamentals, Learn the craft ! Perfect for young writers and directors. Narrative short film production is all about writing for the screen and learning how to tell a compelling story through minimal dialog and direction. This week we focus on cinematic storytelling. Our Narrative film camp centers around a screenplay (script) and the actors’ performance. Advanced camera and lighting techniques are featured in these sessions. This challenging course is a lot of fun! Now enrolling for the next Ava DuVernay, Berry Jenkins, or Stanley Kubrick.

Hardware + Software: Canon C100 Cinema cameras, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition
Recommended Ages: Students 13-17
Hours: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Pick up by 3pm)
Program: Teen Camp (One-Week)
CSF is not responsible for any damaged or stolen items.
Learn storyboarding, scriptwriting, cinematography, and directing, while experiencing how to use pro audio and video gear. Learn how to edit audio and video using Adobe Audition & Premiere Pro on the Apple Mac for hard skills in video production!
Notes
A few weeks before camp starts we will send out parent consent forms and the welcome packet with pertinent information about drop off, pick up etc.

No experience required (Intro to Advanced).

8:30 - Drop off / Check in
9:00 - Instruction / Pre-production
10:30 - Onset Film Production
12:00 - Lunch Break - Bring a lunch!
12:30 - Team Building Outside
12:45 - Continue Filming
1:30 - Post-production work
2:30 - Pick up - No later than 3:00pm

Cancellation Policy
Tuition and Fees Refund Policy - If you are forced to cancel for any reason you will receive your full purchase price as a transferable credit, good for any NW Film Camp session through 2024. Tuition is non-refundable.
